China Unicom to Deliver 200,000 Pre-ordered iPhone 4 in Mid-October at the Earliest; China Unicom's 3G Users Break 10 Million Mark

China Unicom announced on September 28 that the company is set to complete the delivery of 200,000 pre-ordered iPhone 4 by October 2010, the Sohu IT News reported on September 30. China Unicom stated that its initial shipment of approximately 100,000 pre-ordered iPhone 4 was sold out within four days following its first launch in China on September 25, 2010 and the company has stopped taking new online orders until the second shipment is delivered.

 

Meanwhile, China Unicom recently also announced that the company surpassed the 10 million mark in terms of the number of 3G users, according to another report by the Sohu IT News, adding that the number of its 2G users reached 150 million. In August alone, China Unicom saw its 3G user base grow by nearly 12%, according to the same source.
